The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
5.0
[In partnership with PRH International]
This was by far my favourite book of the whole month, possible of the whole year.
It's no secret that I love E. Morgenstern's writing and this novel really exceeded any expectations I had. The story was magical, whimsical, sweet, thrilling and heartbreaking at the same time, I loved discovering every little detail about the Harbor and the Starless Sea and what really made the book what it is, is the writing style.
Morgenstern has amazing prose, it felt like someone's narrating a fairy tale to me. I definitely want to read this again and this time annotate it, so I can pay closer attention to all the little details and hints throughout the story.
Last thing, the romance between Zachary and Dorian was the loveliest thing ever and I loved them, even though my all time favourite character will always be Mirabel!
