Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa
3.0
This is a TRUE Japanese novel. If you want something that is going to feel like walking down an empty street after it just rained & you can still hear thunder rumbling & the crickets chirping. This is your book.
There is something so quiet & ordinary about this & the writing was really pleasant.
I love Japanese literature but something to note about their fiction genre it’s gonna be pretty slow at times. There’s a lot of meandering before getting to the point. But once there you see that the journey was actually quite delightful & the things picked up along the way were worth it.
