Elatsoe is adventurous and fanciful right from the beginning - full of ghosts and fairies and wizards and “cursed ones” (read: vampires). Her primary friendship is so strong and beautiful and I love how present the family members are. It’s a story that just doesn’t leave me wanting much more. It moves through its plot quickly and you begin to understand what’s happened without much effort but also without the characters being too far behind. I can’t call it perfect because it doesn’t necessarily feel like a huge stand out but I don’t think I would ask for more or something different from it.
