4/5 stars. Physical book. One of my favorite YouTubers was talking about how great this book is so I got my own copy. It took a while to finish as it was my nightstand book. I read before bed and running after a toddler every evening really cuts into reading time! Karin Slaughter is an excellent author. She definitely does her research. This is a thriller, but it was unlike the others I have read this year. You learn very early on who the bad guy is, but the slow burn leads up to all of the atrocious things he did. Greatly enjoyed this read and look forward to reading other books by the author.
