To Sleep in a Sea of Stars by Christopher Paolini

I enjoyed that. Now, it comes on the heels of a period in which I was having trouble focusing and finishing several books, so I don't know if it's just that good to break that cycle or if it was just time for me to start paying closer attention again. Either way, I fell asleep listening to this last night because I didn't want to stop. It's a long story, and the pacing waxes and wanes some as the reader moves through it, but I was completely invested long before the half way point.

This is the first Paolini I've read, being one of the few people on the planet who hasn't read the Inheritance Cycle yet. It is engaging scifi with very identifiable characters. I'm ready for the next. :D

ETA: Forgot to mention that Jennifer Hale's narration was top notch!
