Covid Chronicles: A Comics Anthology by Rich Johnson, Kendra Boileau
Did not finish book.
I enjoyed seeing all the different art styles in this anthology but was a little let down by the content. My expectation was that the stories would be personal anecdotes of experiences during the lockdown/covid situation but I found that most stories either felt like a replay of the 2020 news cycle or skewed political neither of which were what I was hoping for. I skimmed through all the comics though, and found a couple that I enjoyed, in particular, Past Pandemics by Ned Barnett, Two Weeks' Notice by Mark Heinrichs, and Katie's Coronavirus Diary! by Tom K. Mason. I am hoping to see more comic anthologies in the future because it is such a fun format.
