Silken Prey by John Sandford

4.0

While still an engaging Davenport story, this one had a little bit too much politics and bureaucracy for my taste. Davenport is called into help a conservative politician who is friends with the current Minnesota governor (who is a Democrat) who has been framed with some child pornography. The story is mildly interesting but compared to both later and earlier books in the series it's kind of bland. But it still has enough suspense and action to keep you turning the pages, especially towards the end.
