Daja's Book by Tamora Pierce
4.0
I really like Daja as a character. Seeing a badass woman and having her magic be a male dominated profession is incredibly refreshing to see. She’s the one who’s no nonsense and always reliable. Daja’s magic manifests in smithing and her teacher is frostpine. They have a great relationship. I just felt like this book is the least memorable of the bunch. I did appreciate her confronting her trader past though.
