I have an anthropology degree, so when I saw this on kickstarter, I didn't have to think twice before I backed this. I really think there should be more fiction about early humans ("early" is, of course, relative but mainly from the advent of Homo sapiens sapiens up to ~3000 BCE). This book is just over 50 pages but it really packed in everything I wanted - a quick but moving story of human tragedy and an informative discussion of the landscape and time period. The art is beautiful and the narrative is solid. Definitely recommend this to anyone who has a chance to read it.
