Swing Time by Zadie Smith

I'm a bit torn about this one. Zadie Smith has a great way with words and observations of life and relationships and people in general. In this though she switches back and forth from present (in the book anyway) to different times past. Often from chapter to chapter which made this feel disjointed to me. I felt lot I never really had to time to get to know or care about any of the characters.
