The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren
2.0
The first Christina Lauren book I read in 2021 was "The Soulmate Equation" and as I recall I enjoyed that one quite a lot. I gave it 4 stars after all. The 2nd one I tried was "Something Wilder", which I DNFed about 1/3 or so of the story, because some major plot point just didn't sit right with me at all. Maybe a bit narrowmindedly I decided to forgo their books for the (near) future, because there are so many alternatives. When I saw that "The True Love Experiment" was set in the same universe as "Soulmate Equation" I thought I'd give this one a try after all. Unfortunately I have to report that this story wasn't for me either. I've got so many issues with this one, some probably very personal (just not my taste / vibe). Others are more along the "how unprofessional can two characters act / how unrealistic can a plot get"? Again, probably a personal thing. I guess I'll indeed give their stories a wide berth in the future.
