Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon

4.0

I was assigned this by my high school English teacher. If I had read it back then I probably would have loved it--I had more patience for this type of book and would have been more excited by the humor, paranoia and worldview of shadowy corporations and conspiracies. I'm glad I read it, lots of it were hilarious, thrilling, bizarre, and more. I liked the jumble of history, technology, statistics, metaphysics, mysticism, religion all mixed up together. And it grew on me. But I was never as excited as I am by books that have plots, characters, psychological depth, etc. But still sad to say only four stars--which is a reflection of my taste not the merits of the book.
