Look I really liked this book but it was a book written by a man about a boy. And the themes are universal but idk sometimes I just want a “cult favorite” type book about soemone who’s not a boy. And that’s not the authors fault. Idk. I mean I liked it so much that I read it all in two sittings which is really fast for me. It’s good but idk how to recommend it. If you’ve been thinking about reading it for years like I had you should read it but you can also wait a little longer and you’ll survive. Now on to watching the movie!
Edit, 10 min later: this book wasn’t like the kind that “changed my life” but it sort of felt like it as i was actively reading it. And I think I would like to reread it but only like once a decade.
