A Sinister Revenge by Deanna Raybourn

3.0

These are usually pretty solid mysteries, but after 8 adventures, Veronica Speedwell seems a bit at a loss for what to do next. This one has dinosaurs, a gloomy mansion, a cast of ‘it could be anyone’ and not much else. I appreciate that the author clearly loves her ensemble cast, but this felt a bit like they’d all moved to Devon for 300 pages for no real reason than ‘we need a big house’. Okayish.
