this was a hell of a ride.
i loved this book with all my heart & i literally can't wait anymore to read the 3rd book already. i need answers, i need revenge ugh :((
anyway, it was fun to feel the author fucking with my heart like that, killing so many people i grew fond of...
i can't express how much i love this series so far, definitely my new fav of 2021, it just keeps getting better and better. it feels like u know shit that's happening & where ur loyalties lie, but then everything tips over and u just don't know who to trust anymore. the author leaves u actually feeling so betrayed by all these characters, it feels like 𝒀𝑶𝑼 are actually Rin and that all the events in this book are happening irl, bc that's how vivid and detailed the story is. i fell in love with Rin and her companions bc even with their own flaws, naiveties & rages, they still wanted to make things right and help avoid as much damage to their own people as possible.
i can't believe i only have one book left to finish, i don't want this story to end, i want all the ppl that were gone in the 2nd book to suddenly appear in the 3rd bc i still can't comprehend the loss in my heart, this book 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒚 fucked me over :(
i will read literally 𝑨𝑵𝒀𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑵𝑮 R. F. Kuang writes, she easily became my recent favorite author. i really really hope she comes up with more fantasy books. i love her writing, love that her imagination has no boundaries & that she's able to develop the characters so realistically that i actually felt like i was there, with them, one of them, feeling for them, fighting beside them, laughing and crying with them and all. I'M STILL NOT OK UGH
if u haven't read this & u're a fantasy lover, plsplspls read this xx
