Honestly, I’m a slut for throuples and vampire romances are a guilty pleasure so there were very few ways this could go wrong. The dynamics are well illustrated with enough attention on each individual pairing to see the affection they all have for each other and the main plot is engaging enough to hold your attention between the moments of intimacy you’re here for. There are some character motivations I feel unsure about and I wouldn’t say it’s actually the most memorable - there’s a degree of emotional depth missing because of how disconnected the romantic elements seem from the high action, political plot - but it feels comfortable. It’s not a book that essentially meets expectations so if you know the story of the synopsis and an exclusive nonmonogamous romance are enticing to you, I feel confident you’ll enjoy it.
