Haru-san wanders Japan with his owner in the wake of a catastrophe that leaves her the last human alive.  He is a very philosophical little dog, much to the chagrin of his teenager, as they navigate the new world - a world compromising the two of them. Reminds me of Calvin and Hobbes, charming, sincere, and with a surprising amount of complexity.
