I did not care for the FMC at first. She was spoiled, selfish, annoying, and complained a lot. But let me tell you, once she fell for our boy she stood 10 toes behind him.
Elias has Bipolar Disorder and he is doing everything required to stay grounded. However, a lot of changes and triggers result in him really struggling.
I appreciated the level of education given to the readers. Everything from cycling, manic behaviors, triggers, meds, and counseling was discussed.
Ignorance in regard to mental illness and how those who are diagnosed can be written off or labeled less really hit home for me.
Loving someone with a mental illness is not for the weak. It takes a certain level of trust, understanding, and commitment.
This story was fantastic and an amazing example of going all in.
With that said, I also enjoyed the suspense aspect. The organized crime, politics, and players.
I want to read everyone's stories. Because while Elias may be the only one with a diagnosed illness, everyone has their own shit to navigate.
TWO of our men are in arranged marriages that aren't happy. I want to see them all both the men and women get their HEA.
