Overall, this book was good and it wrapped up the series almost perfectly. I loved A Torch Against the Night and A Reaper at the Gates, so I was excited for this final book. Unfortunately, it did leave me a bit disappointed. I was very bittersweet

SABAA TAHIR DID NOT HAVE TO KILL OFF HARPER. I find it difficult to believe that his death severed any other purpose other than shock value. Helene literally lost her entire family and Harper taught her how to heal and love again, just for him to be ripped away? I don’t get it. Maybe I’m bitter, but his character deserved more. Also, I just wasn’t a fan of the antagonists’ povs. I think it took away from the emotion of their backstories.
