Mortal Follies by Alexis Hall

I started this as an ebook, then decided I'd probably enjoy it more as an audiobook. This book is VERY long, and about 7 hours in a big climactic scene happens that felt like it'd be the final climax on an 8 hour long audiobook, but then it just kept going (the audiobook is just over 13 hours long, so there was just just under half of the book left).
The first half is about Miss Maelys Mitchelmore figuring out she has a curse on her and then trying to stop it before it kills her, and the second half is Miss Maelys Mitchelmore trying to convince Lady Georgianna Landrake to fuck her and then ends u with another curse on her. I'll be honest, I was super not invested in the romance of this book because trying to coerce people into dating them is the least interesting kind of relationship dynamic to me. M is just constantly going after G and saying "please I think you're so hot PLEASE!" and G going "you can't even say the word fuck out loud so I refuse to fuck you." and like. SHE SAID NO MULTIPLE TIMES JUST LEAVE HER ALONE ALREADY.
The narrator of the story (a fae watching the events unfold) was fun sometimes but got a bit on my nerves at other times. And I can say, after having read a lot of Alexis Hall books, that Alexis Hall seems to HATE writing epilogues, so this book ending with the fae going on a tiny bit of a diatribe about not seeing the need to write an epilogue for this story was a little annoying for me, someone who very much expects epilogues for my romance books - a well-written epilogue can set the tone for the entire book for me, personally.
I don't want to score this book too low - I did like the characters, and the world its set in (regency Bath, but everyone knows that the fae and different gods exist), and the humour. It was mostly the romance and the narrative structure that I didn't love.
