The author has written a very personal note. Please take the time to read it. She also warns the reader about possible triggers.

Sabra has an agenda but I just don’t know if romance is on the list. She seems to like to control everything. Besides her life, it seems as if she wants to control the story as well.

This was a very tough read because her life is so fractured. You want to be there to help but you know it’s a work of fiction so you can’t. The author, just by her choice of words, lets us experience every emotion that Sabra feels. And how it affects a person, both mentally and physically. It also affects those around you – even though you may not be aware of it.

It was a very suspenseful tale but I’m not too sure about the romance side of it. Sabra has so much going on in her life, and in her head, that I don’t think that word has a place here. There are times that you’re glad that she has people in her life that care about her. Trevor is one of those people but there’s only so much a person’s heart can take. I was never quite sure if Sabra’s heart was there yet. Healing of the mind, spirit, and sometimes the body need to be achieved before the heart should try to be open for more. In this particular case to see a happy ending as opposed to happily ever after is a good thing – it was like getting a nice hug after a really tough day.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
