Deadly Benevolence by Dawn Brower

4.0

I was impressed with how much Dawn Brower was able to pack into this novella. Entirely from Sin’s perspective I enjoyed the action, horror, and suspense.

While the premise is similar to all infection leads to zombies - it allows her more time to develop compelling characters and the nefarious human element. Purely in friendship, Sin is protecting his childhood friend and scientist, Lucy. He shields her while she works for a cure.

The ending is quick but satisfying. Short but fully developed listen.

Narration:
This was my first narration by Will Tulin. I enjoyed the depth he brought to the performance by giving characters unique voices and bringing the emotion and tension of Brower’s writing to life.

Note: I didn't realize it until I submitted my Audible review - but it seems I received this audiobook for free at some point. This is my honest review.
