This book is hard to rate. If you are someone, who is really, REALLY into almost endless descriptions/classifications of ... (mostly) fish, you will love this book. Unfortunately, that's not quite my cup of tea^^
You know what it reminds me a bit of? A while ago I've read "At the Mountains of Madness" by H.P. Lovecraft and I sort of liked it? "Why just sort of?", people who know me well may ask. After all, I like horror a lot. Hm! That's true, but almost the first 3/4 of the book were boring ... literally, because it was about drills, geology, topography and yeah ...that sort of stuff. The end was awesome though! Really creepy, loved it. I just wished there was more of that sort of stuff in the book^^
And we have the same problem here: A bit of scientific descriptions is fine and interesting, but I have a damn limit xD
