Night Film by Marisha Pessl
5.0
“It was at this time I learned that the human mind is a blackened overgrown place. Society tries to mow the lawn and trim back the plants, but every one of us is just days away from a wild jungle. And it's the jungle that interests me.”
This was utterly amazing. My only complaint is that it ended, and I can never experience the sheer joy of reading it for the first time ever again. Thought provoking, beautiful, and tense this second novel from Pessl makes you breathe the pages in. If you haven't read it, you must do so immediately. Telling you anything more about it will simply spoil the fun of you finding it out.
