I really liked the language, it was poetic and flew very well, it was descriptive and very evocative in places (especially the descriptions of Mr Lihn's home country) but it didn't feel overdone.

What I appreciated the most were the perspectives of Mr Lihn and Mr Bark and how they were developed throughout the narration. The bond between these two men was so pure and moving, it's what really captivated me and kept me reading.

I wasn't entirely convinced by the ending, the build-up to it was a tiny bit disappointing, but the very last pages managed to somehow sweeten the pill for me.
Still, this is a short book that really struck a chord with me and that will linger vividly in my mind.
