Storm of the Seven Sins by Emily Colin

5.0

This series is simply superb! It will live rent free in my brain for quite some time. It has everything you could want in a YA fantasy series with a STRONG female MC and an amazingly smart and witty counter male MC to her strength. It challenges current societal standards by questioning everything that is "right" and "accepted". Ari and Eva question all the rules and restrictions placed on them, and ask "why" they are not allowed to love and care for each other. Upon leaving the Commonwealth, they find that the "savages" they were told about give them comfort and shelter. There is also magic in this world in the form of shapeshifting due to genetric altering.

Don't forget @kiera_reads_ and I will be talking with Emily about her series over ab instalive this Saturday at 2pm CST! SUPER EXCITED! See my previous post for more details.

In this futuristic version of the United States, people have been corraled into living in communities called Commonwealths. However, while the Commonwealths keep them safe from ourside savages, they not free to express emotion or have physical contact of any kind with the opposite sex. Each citizen must do as their told, share everything, and upon coming of age perform the job given to them by their Commonwealth leaders.
