I loved this so much. I absolutely adore romance books that tackle character trauma and thus make flawed but /real/ characters. All the characters in this book had motivations and history behind every one of their actions and I loved it.

The spice was amazing, but it wasn’t even my favourite part of this book. Ryan was such a sweetheart, and seeing him show his love in quiet ways, and Indy actually acknowledging and appreciating it UGH SO GOOD!! There was some miscommunication but it was explained, and both characters eventually learnt how to get through it.

Lmao but the amount of times I felt myself going giddy at Ryan doing *the bare minimum*, but who cares, it was great. I feel like there are so many memorable scenes that will stay with me for just how sweet the mcs were to each other.

The found family and friendship in here was also really special, and really I just loved this book. Maybe some of the packing was off but idc, I had a great time reading it.
