The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller

Did not finish book. Stopped at 35%.

Levenseller has a way of making very too cool, edgy, self insert type of main characters that I’m just a little too old for to find interesting anymore. The main character is the lady all the guys want and all the girls want to be and I can’t see any real flaws to find interesting to read about other than her overwhelming cockiness. If this was secretly a Darkling x Reader fanfiction turned into a novel I would not be surprised.
