As intensely structured and ordered as the periodic table provides elegant insight into the properties of atomic matter itself, so loosely woven are the sundry stories in this collected volume; bit of a let down after reading the excellent and horrifying accounts of the author’s life in Auschwitz-Monowitz and his Odysseus like peregrinations traveling home.
