Prince of the Ancients by Gemma L. Preston
4.0
When vicious attacks threaten his home, Dracho ventures into the mortal realm to prevent war, all while trying to maintain his cover in human form and hide the dragon within. Together, he and his questing companions face enemies, tragedy, and an ancient entity, as their secrets become harder to keep buried.
A rich world and intriguing lore brings Prince of the Ancients alive. I really enjoyed the elements of found family, and I found it so refreshing to see such an inclusive approach to writing high fantasy. I would recommend Prince of the Ancients to readers who love a questing group of heroes hiding secrets, especially those looking for LGBTQIAP+ rep in a classic fantasy setting.
I am grateful to the author for providing an ARC of Prince of the Ancients. These opinions are my own.
