I can honestly say I have never read a book like this one, and I mean that in the best way possible. I look for a strong voice in literature, and not only did the author capture my attention, but she seemed to do it effortlessly.

I really enjoyed this one. As a man, I obviously have no connection to how the mother feels, but I’m glad to have been a student in this experience. The plot is so so odd, and I love that. The way the book is written is very poetic and powerful.

Caution though: there is a brutal animal death in this book.
