Ren to any man she meets and comes to know quite well: is this the rook???

This is a really fun, twisty read. Some parts of it weren't quite as engaging for me, but the worldbuilding was absolutely fantastic. The Rook was one of the best elements of the story. I was pretty disheartened after

Leato died (RIP my beloved)

but the plot picked up again soon after. Definitely hyped for the rest of the trilogy and will probably reread this ahead of book 2.
