Understanding the context of the 70's and the general thought behind being gay, this book was a little rough with the toxic ways that Ben showed "love", but I love the raw way that he grappled with understanding his sexuality and love of Ronny. The characters were emotionally complex and I wanted to protect these stupid idiots. Definitely read the cw's, there's a lot of strong language
