An absolutely perfect historic crime novel. Mina is a superb writer, funny, economical and ascerbic but not emotionally distanced. Her observations on human frailty are shocking, they are so good, and often unexpected. Bonus for me, lots of historic Glasgow (where I did my first degree) and Two Maps!
