My point is, I don't often feel powerful of a day. Most people don't.
Northern Spy had me on the edge of my seat from the very beginning. Flynn Berry doesn't waste any time getting right into the thick of it, and the twists and turns of this book are extremely unpredictable, which makes for a riveting read. Even at the end, when you think it's all said and done with, another twist is revealed. Seriously, once I started this book I had trouble putting it down.
One of them must have felt like her true family, who love her the most, who love her wholly. All this time, I'd been so sure it was us.
I also really liked how Flynn Berry portrayed the family and motherhood dynamic, and how Tessa makes a balancing act out of it throughout the book. It gives readers an insight to the life of a working single mother, but a whole new layer is added upon learning that her sister Marian is in the IRA, and then dealing with the aftermath of that. Overall a 5 star read for me.
