Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

Let's talk. This book is DENSE! I'm so glad I re-read Fourth Wing before starting this book. I was talking to a friend it is even more info heavy than the first book.
I'm excited for the next book, seeing how this one ended, but I know it will be a long wait. I'll will have to re-read books 1 and 2 before jumping into the third.
Ms. Yarros is all about the layers. Just when you think you have it figured out, she adds another layer of complexity to the MCs, to the enemy, to people you thought were friends, but may be enemies, and enemies that turn out to be friends.
Despite the lack of research on her Gaelic names, I think Ms. Yarros will be the next SJM in the fantasy world. I dearly hope she doesn't sign the screen rights away to fast. That could be catastrophic.
