Lowlife by Kelsey Soliz

Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
i saw that this book was a rockstar reverse harem novel and i was highly intrigued since i love to read books about bands/singers/hollywood, but this one just really fell flat for me.

my main issue were the characters. ALL of the characters. they felt really one dimensional and not at all distinctive when it came to their personalities.
the main girl, Nyx, was obnoxious and often i felt like i was reading from a teenager’s POV. she cursed wayyyy too much and listen, i don’t mind cursing in books at all, but in this book it was literally nearly every sentence she spoke.
the things she and the other characters said were also beyond cringy. if you read this, you’ll know what i mean. 😂 i tried my hardest not to roll my eyeballs.

the writing style was also an issue for me. as i said above, the cursing was overbearing and the text was lacking more depth. i feel like if i read this at the age of 14-16 i probably would’ve enjoyed it, but honestly this was too tacky for me. 😂
i also don’t really enjoy reading reverse harem books from male POVs because most of the time it’s too cringy and not well done. this book yet again proved that it’s true for me.

there isn’t really anything i loved about this book, so i thought i’d dnf because there are way more books i need to get to!
