An Open Letter to Steph Campbell,

Dear Steph Campbell,

Thank you for writing a new adult novel that did not make me want to hit my head against the wall. Lengths gave me faith in the new adult genre again. Deo and Whit did not have a perfect relationship, but their problems were based on actual issues: Whit's guilt and tension over her brother's death, Deo's commitment issues, etc. You took these two slightly broken people and made them have to work through real problems as a couple. There was no unnecessary drama or annoying ex-girlfriends. I actually liked both these characters too. Deo was a bit of a slacker, but he was also completely genuine. Whit was secretive and guarded, but it worked with her background. Even the smut was tasteful and minimal, exactly the way I like it. I couldn't find a flaw in Lengths at all. I would definitely recommend it!

Best wishes,
Lola
