While I did learn about some new trivia-worthy information about the efforts to prove the supernatural in a "scientific" way, I didn't gain any new insight. I did not particularly love the presentation in this book. Shifts between topics within one chapter seemed disorganized. I could see the author trying to be entertaining and while some jokes were funny, there were too many jokes made at the expense of the subjects. The tone was mocking, smug and somewhat disdainful. As much as I disagree with how some of the individuals approach their research on the supernatural, the smug tone of the book painted them as kooky people and I felt that the book was priming me to discredit them.
