“I wish I could live a thousand lives so I could fall in love with you a thousand times”
“You are broken. But it is broken things that are the sharpest. The deadliest. It is broken things that are the most unexpected, and the most underestimated”
“Would that we all knew the cracked terrain of each other’s broken hearts. Perhaps then, we would not be so cruel to those who walk this lonely world with us.”
I love these characters with my whole heart. I feel like I can't say a whole lot about the plot or characters without spoilers since this is the 4th and final book in the series but to say I was an utter and complete wreck by the end is an understatement. I never wanted it to be over!! I would be hard pressed to find many flaws with this book.
Tahir has created an amazing world with characters that are complex and interesting and complicated. Even when everything was falling apart and your heart was breaking, you understood perfectly why things were happening the way they were. She even found a way to make the villains feel relatable!! Tahir is truly a writer for the ages. Definitely an autobuy author from here on out.
