You're an Animal, Viskovitz! by Alessandro Boffa
5.0
So charming and delightful, which is really fun to see holds true through the translation-- kudos to the translator just as much as the author.
A really fun, quirky, quick read that basically takes the set characters, reimagines them in each short story as a different part of the animal kingdom, and uses that animal and its nature to make commentary, insights, or just silly jokes about the human nature of love, sex, and relationships. The fact that the author clearly dove deep into the biology of each animal to make these scientifically accurate is the icing on the cake.
So happy this was recommended by one of the workers at Exile in Bookville in Chicago, this is a book I can see myself recommended or even gifting for a fun read to anyone.
