Last to Leave the Room by Caitlin Starling
3.0
I'm not completely sure what rating I should settle on, somewhat between 2.5 and 3, I think.
The first half of this book was incredibly dull. There was too much focus on Tamsin's daily routine and her going to work/board meetings.
The concept of the sinking basement, mysterious door, and the doppelganger had huge potential. However, the interesting parts were buried in what I felt were unnecessary descriptions of day to day activities. The fact that Tamsin was an extremely unlikeable person did not exactly help the situation.
From the TamsinĀ° part, things started to get really interesting, but unfortunately, I still ended up feeling unsatisfied by the end.
