Bittersweet by Carmen Jenner, Lauren K. McKellar
3.0
This book had potential to be great. The writing flowed well, and I loved the characters. My problem comes with the story. Elio and Romy have been dancing around each other for months with flirting, but little else. They have a serious case of lust for each other, but do to an assumption on Romy's part (and you know what they say about those), things fizzle out. Romy then tries to move on to another man, even though she's still in love with Elio. She has sex with the new guy after a couple of dates, even though he was a douche. He gets even worse after that, and she finds out some disturbing news about him. When she finds out the truth about Elio, she can't dump rebound guy fast enough. The rest of the story was sweet, and just how I think a romance should be. The whole middle part with a relationship with another man, not so much. Again, the writing itself was good, but if you can get past the other things in the story, give this a try.
