Secret Daughter by Shilpi Somaya Gowda
5.0
I really enjoyed this book. It felt honest and for the first time in a very long time, I felt that the use of multiple story-telling perspectives contributed greatly to the narrative. I enjoyed all of the characters... not all were likeable, but I understood them and think that they and their mentalities are very realistic. I also appreciate that the book celebrated Indian culture, but also acknowledged important social issues that are just as rooted in it.
