The Twilight Garden by Sara Nisha Adams

3.0

I was keen to jump into Sara Nisha Adams' latest, The Twilight Garden, after enjoying her debut, The Reading List, in 2021. The whole concept of reviving a neglected London community garden with a mix of historical and present-day storylines had me intrigued. However, it ended up being just okay. It's a nice, easy read to pass the time, but didn't really stir up any strong feelings for me.

The characters, despite their ties to the garden, didn't quite resonate with me, and the slow pace had me setting the book down more than once. Personally, I think it could've been a lot shorter and maybe better for it. Despite the high hopes from Adams' first book, The Twilight Garden left me wanting a bit more depth and connection.
