The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

What I Did Like:
-Well written. The story itself is told in such a way that you are SUCKED into it. You live it right along with Starr. You feel her pain, you feel her confusion. It’s brilliant in that it puts you IN her shoes.
-Timely. This puts police violence and racial inequality on blast by putting you right in the middle of the action. It’s important and valuable. Read this one.
-Starr. She’s a great character who tells it like it is and is easily, beautifully relatable.
Who Should Read This One:
-Everyone. This one is just getting MORE relevant, unfortunately. It’s important, it’s loud, and it’s needed.
My Rating: 5 Stars. Read this one. Seriously.
