This book made the series worth reading. The pacing is a lot better than the first book with the action starting up a lot sooner and being a bit more consistently spaced. I need to know what happens next and I cannot wait to start the next book. 
Varg and Orka are my favorites and if anything happens to them I will be so sad. Same with Einar! I am getting very attached to these characters
