Holy deliciousness Batman

One of my favorite discoveries of late 2017 and all of 2018 was this author. There is just something about how she creates a story. Every book is a standalone and gets better and better the more this series goes on. It never gets stale and it never becomes cookie cutter. Her characters are all so very different and yet the friendships they all have work so well with each other. This book dealt with a pretty awful subject matter as the backdrop of one of the characters. My heart hurt knowing that even though this was fiction that it isn't something out of the norm. The author covered it with grace and for that I am thankful.

I loved Anne and Smitty something fierce. They show that love knows no limits and that it truly doesn't matter about color or religion even in rural Idaho/Montana. I loved that this author made Smitty both dominate and nurturing. He really was a big teddy bear. Anne, was perfect for him as he was for her. God knows she needed someone like Smitty in her life. There steam. Sweet lord. Their steam was fire. This author can sure write it without it coming across as cheesy. The story is always first and foremost in the book.

I FLOVED seeing the old characters (especially Wes because his "Wessonism's" always are guaranteed to make me laugh. My interest is piqued with the next book. I cannot wait to see where the next story goes. Regardless, I know it will be fresh and exciting.
