Her Forbidden Flesh by Airicka Phoenix

Without a fluffy intro this time, please be mindful of the contents of this book and the trigger warnings.

Okay so now that everyone who wants to be there is here… This was so wild!! I read dark romance generally on a regular basis but somehow, I didn’t fully grasp the taboo concept until now. I knew the premise of the book going into it, but I didn’t fully get it until I was in the midst of reading. This is all a good thing I promise.

Speaking of reading, this has an absolutely delicious plot besides the spice. It was refreshing to have both in one book, especially with the spice level being so high since a lot of times it tends to be one or the other. I especially loved having a full circle moment even with the smaller page number!! Everything meshed well in terms of the overall timeframe, I didn't feel like we got too much or not enough or anything. All the characters were written beautifully, and it was good to see how realistically all the different personalities interacted with one another.

I fear I cannot go into too much detail without being banned for being too explicit, but wow is all I can say. To say the least I've never read anything quite so well done before. There was so much emotion and intimately sweet moments while still remaining scorching. This 100% pushed the boundaries and I absolutely love it.
