Rally by Devney Perry
3.5
'Rally' might be my favourite book in this series (probably along with Merit). This is an unexpected pregnancy, football romance that delivered for me. I loved both main characters, from their flaws to their strengths.
Faith and Rush were so entertaining to read. Faith's backstory and her healing journey were so good, I couldn't get enough of her. I especially loved how, despite how many times Maverick made her feel unwelcome, Faith stood her ground and hit right back at him. And how, in the end, they became friends. Rush was also a very entertaining main character. I was a bit annoyed with his go-with-the-flow attitude, especially when it mostly caused problems, but I was glad when he finally realised he needed to step up and get out of his routine and step into his role as a dad to be wholly.
One of my favourite things in this book is that it doesn't romanticise pregnancy. It shows a lot of problems and situations that can arise from this and how Rush and Faith truly needed to be a team to go through them. Overall, a great boo,k but not really my favourite.
